How to search the People Search web service
The People Search API is provided with various configurations, the availability of each option will be dependant on the target audience and the price paid for the service. The configuration options are listed below.
- Tracesmart Register - Edited Electoral Roll data is provided as standard. This options will also provide Tracesmart Register data within the search results.
- Age - The precise age as on the date of the search will be provided within the search results, where available.
- DOB - The DOB will be provided within the search results, where available.
Search Methods
The People Search can be searched in two ways, a Quick Search or a Detailed Search. The Quick Search allows you to specify the names and the locations as a single string for each item. The Detailed Search allows each data item to be specified for example the Forename, Middle Name and Surname can be specified with the Street and Town.
When searching, determine which method will be used on each data item and specify only one level of information for each data item. For example supply either "name1", as a string containing the full name, or supply "forename1", "middle1", "surname1". If any of the data items are supplied in both formats the system will return an error.
